The Expert Circles were created following the Executive Committee meeting of Athens (11 March 2010). They were established in the context of the first objective in CIBP's Strategy Plan 2010-2012, namely:
What are the Expert Circles? The Expert Circles are working groups made up of experts from CIBP member organisations in order to discuss together topics of particular relevance for the network. Each group has a chairman from the Executive Committee who monitors and coaches the work of the experts, while the CIBP General Secretariat functions as a coordinator and facilitator by providing administrative support. Which are the aims of the Expert Circles? The main objective is to share best practices and to analyse future developments in the markets, including possible changes to European and international regulations. Furthermore, the Expert Circles aim at reinforcing international cooperation and facilitating joint actions among CIBP members. Which subjects are discussed? The three topics that have been selected to be studied by the first groups of experts read as follows:
