To accomplish its task, the Confederation is supported by the following bodies, as set up in CIBP's Articles of Association:

• The General Assembly comprises representatives from every member organisation and convenes every three years. It is the decision-making body for all statutory matters. It elects the members of the Executive Committee and of the Auditing Committe.

• The Executive Committee is CIBP’s decision-making body. It consist of top management delegates elected by the General Assembly. Meetings take place at least once a year.  The Executive Committee elects among its members the Presidential Committee which is made up of the President and the Vice-Presidents and its mission is to establish the strategic orientations of CIBP.

• The Auditing Committee supervises CIBP administration, accounting and budget and ensures that it complies with the Belgian law and makes a good use of financial resources. Members are elected by the General Assembly and are technically supported by external auditors.

• The General Secretariat is the permanent body of CIBP. It is responsible for the efficient running of CIBP’s activities. It monitors the meetings, prepares and organises the work of the Confederation. It promotes and develops the different initiatives to ensure the smooth circulation among members of reports, good practices, and topics of general interest in order to facilitate their implementation within member organisations.

• Working Groups are made up of members’ experts and are in charge of studying possible strategies and solutions for the topics selected by the Executive Committee.
