On 19 and 20 May 2009, the CIBP Secretary General, Mr. Bernard Huberdeau, accompanied by CIBP Project Manager, Ms. Heide Lohmeier, took part in the 2009 General Assembly of ÖGV (Verbandstag) in St. Anton.

In his speech, Mr. Huberdeau reflected on the new role of CIBP for the new economic times. In this regard, he highlighted the importance of preparing the Confederation for the upcoming CIBP Executive Committee, which will take place on 22 October 2009 in Vienna and will also be hosted by ÖGV, as well as for the 27^th CIBP Congress to be held on 7-8 July 2010 in Québec.

For this purpose, a new ad hoc Task Force has been created under the title "CIBP Heading for 2012". It gathers delegates from CIBP member organisations with a view to draft an Action Plan, which will serve as a guideline for CIBP activities in the next three years.
